How Kovo Credit and its partner lenders comply with state licensing requirements.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Kovo Credit operates as a financial services and lender-matching platform. We are not a bank or a direct lender. Loan products are offered through third-party partner lenders, each of which maintains the state licenses required for the products it offers.
The Kovo Credit Builder is a credit-reporting service, not a loan product. Our reporting agreements with the major U.S. consumer reporting agencies are governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related federal rules.
Each Kovo Credit partner lender is responsible for maintaining the licenses required to operate in your state. When you accept a specific lender's offer, that lender's license information and legal entity name appear on your loan disclosure before you sign.
U.S. consumers can verify any lender's state license through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Consumer Access portal:
Enter the lender's company name or NMLS ID. If the lender is unlicensed in your state, do not proceed with the loan — contact Kovo Credit through our contact page.
If you have a complaint about a Kovo Credit partner lender, you can contact your state's financial services regulator in addition to Kovo Credit:
Kovo Credit's lender network covers all 50 U.S. states, but specific loan amounts, APR caps, and term lengths vary by state law. See our state pages for state-specific notes, or complete pre-qualification to see your actual state-specific offers.
